Assign an Incident to Another User

Incidents can be assigned to other users at the time the incident is created or after creation by editing the existing record.

To assign an incident to another user:

  1. Log into Perspective.
  2. Open the incident record.
  3. Click the Controls tab > Assignments sub-tab.
  4. Click Add New to create a new assignment.
  5. Complete the Assigned to Person, Assignment Type, and Assigned Date fields.
  6. Optional: Enter a due date or message to the assignee in the Due Date and/or Message/Task fields.
  7. Click OK.
