When using the Import a File function to import data against multiple existing records of the same type (e.g. Risks), the following error message may appear:
This error can occur if the field you have flagged as the unique identifier includes duplicate values in the import file. For example, Risk name is flagged as the unique identifier, but Risk 1 is referenced on multiple rows.
To prevent this error, it's recommended that you use a field designed for record identification purposes (e.g. an auto-generated system number), rather than a field such as Name that may contain duplicates.
You can also resolve this error by removing the duplicate rows or changing the name of one of the duplicated records in WRM and the import file, then import the file again.
