Manually Delete the 2.0 Folder to Uninstall Perspective

This article provides instructions on manually deleting the 2.0 folder to uninstall Perspective, as well as instructions on deleting additional folder data (if needed) and uninstalling the MSI package.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Using this method to uninstall Perspective will orphan (leave residual configuration information) in the registry entries for the Perspective application. To avoid this, see the Uninstall Perspective article for instructions on deleting the required data via Command Prompt. Note, however, that using Command Prompt will delete all the data in the 2.0 folder, including the data related to any other ClickOnce applications you may be running. If you're unsure which of method to follow, contact Resolver Support.

Delete the 2.0 Folder

  1. Close all Perspective-related processes.

  2. Open File Explorer.

  3. Enter the C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Apps path into the address bar of File Explorer then press Enter on your keyboard.

    Note: Username in the above path will need to be replaced with the user name of the currently logged in user.

  4. If you don't see the Apps folder:

    a. Open Control Panel.

    b. Click Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options.

    c. Click the View tab.

    d. Under Advanced settings, select the Show hidden files, folders, and drives radio button.

    e. Click OK.

  5. Right-click the 2.0 folder.

  6. Click Delete.

Delete the Folders from ProgramData - Version 5.0 or Later

If you're running Perspective 5.0 or later and the above steps didn't resolve the issues you may be experiencing, you may need to delete additional folders.

  1. Open File Explorer.

  2. Enter the C:\ProgramData path into the address bar of File Explorer then press Enter on your keyboard.

  3. Delete one or more of the following folders:

    • If you're experiencing issues with Dashboard, delete the Dashboard.Resolver folder.

    • If you're experiencing issues with Dispatch, delete the Dispatch.Resolver folder.

    • If you're experiencing issues with Perspective, delete the Resolver Inc folder.

Note: If you can't see these folders, follow the instructions in step 4 in the section above.

Uninstall the MSI Package

  1. Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.

  2. Click Perspective in the list of programs to select it.

  3. Click Uninstall.
