Increase Maximum Java Heap Memory

Applies to RiskVision Versions: 6.5, 7.0, 7.5   

To increase maximum JAVA heap memory:  

1. Navigate to x:\server\tomcat\bin
2. Double click tomcat6w.exe
3. The Apache Tomcat Properties screen should display
4. Click Java tab
5. Change the Maximum memory pool to 8192 MB (8 GB or to the desired amount)
6. Click OK
7. Restart Tomcat  

Note: Before performing these steps, verify the server has adequate memory installed to support this increase

If the performance hasn't improved after making the above changes, provide the following log files to the product support team:

• catalina.log located %Agiliance_Home%\tomcat\logs
• agiliance.log located in %Agiliance_Home%\Services\RC\logs
• wrapper.log located in %Agiliance_Home%\Services\RC\logs Keywords memory, heap, JVM, xmx, xms
